Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band formed in Buffalo, New York in 1988 by vocalist Chris Barnes, bassist Alex Webster, guitarists Bob Rusay and Jack Owen and drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. The band is considered to be one of the most popular and longest-running style.
According to the auditing firm Nielsen SoundScan, Cannibal Corpse is one of the bands of death metal more successful, selling around the world more than one million copies of his albums, technically without representation in radio or television. They are known for their controversial and violent lyrics and cover artwork, which has led them to be censored on more than one occasion.
